MALAWI EDUCATION REFORM PROGRAM (MERP)
This Programme is co-financed by the Government, World Bank and Global Education Partners (GPE). The main objective of the programme is to improve learning environments for students in lower primary in public schools. The duration of the programme is 4 years, which will run from December 2021 to December 2025. The programme consists of five components namely: Expanding and reforming primary school improvement grants; Improving learning environments in lower primary to support learning recovery after COVID-19; supporting girls‟ learning; School leadership; and Project coordination and capacity building.
